Mike's daughter, M. C. Jennings just posted the following 3 hours ago: Mom asked me to update you on Dad. We have had a little setback. We came to the ER at Clements UTSW to have it checked out. Tests today have come back negative for blood clots but they want to do another test tomorrow to check the stents for breakage or clots so they will be admitting him tonight. We’re hoping this is mainly a fluid issue that lasiks will help with but we all want to make sure there are no clots before we head home. So, thanks for the prayers and keep ‘em coming.

Tomorrow (Apr. 14) is Dinner on the Grounds. Praying that you can join us for a sumptuous feast after the morning assembly. Just got a message from M.C. that Mike is doing well and they are waiting to be discharged. Thanking God. Keep Keith and Debbie Martin in your prayers. They are not feeling well.

M.C. Hayes Jennings posted about 2 hours ago: Just got the call from the nurse that they are finished (7 and a half hour surgery - whew)! He did great. As soon as he wakes up, they will move him to a room. He will stay tonight. They'll do an ultrasound on his legs tomorrow to make sure blood flow is good and there are no clots. Thank you, God!! Thanks so much for your prayers. Y’all are truly the body of Christ and have lifted us up and encouraged us so much. Much love from our family to you!

This Lord's Day (Feb. 10, 2019) is Dinner on the Grounds, following the morning assembly. In the adult Bible class we will be close to finishing up Obadiah. In Mike's absence, Lord willing, the text for the sermon will come from John 12:12-26, what many refer to as the Triumphal Entry. Come join us this Lord's Day and bring someone with you. Stay for Dinner on the Grounds afterward.

Lord willing, tomorrow (January 20, 2019) the sermon topic will be: The Alabaster Jar. The text will come from John 11:55-12:11. Adult Bible class will be in Obadiah 17. Pray that you will be able to join us and bring someone with you. Put Janette H. in your prayers. She was recently diagnosed with cancer. Also keep in your prayers: L.D. for comfort & relief for hip pain; Charlene P. for hiatal hernia; Beverly S. for dementia. Leslie C. for pain from her knee replacement; and of course, Mike H for his leg wounds, Becky H for comfort for her back.

Come join us this Lord's Day (January 13, 2019). Today is Dinner on the grounds after the morning assembly. Adult Bible class is in Obadiah 17. Lord willing, the sermon topic will be: Caiaphas and the Sanhedrin Mafia. Text will be John 11:45-54.

Due to the wet roads and freezing temperatures, we will not be meeting tonight (Wednesday, February 21). Praying that, Lord willing, I will be seeing you this coming Lord's Day, February 25.

The forecast is for the temperature to get above freezing at noon. So, due to the weather, we will have Dinner on the Grounds at 1:30 today. The worship assembly will follow immediately. No evening assembly.

We will not be meeting this evening, Wednesday, February 7. I have a bad cold and don't want to spread the joy. Lord willing, I will be back, this Lord's Day, February 11.

This Lord's Day morning in the adult Bible class, we will be in James chapter 4, verse 4. Also, remember that today is Dinner on the Grounds after the morning assembly. And there will be a men's business meeting after the assembly and prior to Dinner on the Grounds. Hope that you can join us.

Please keep Mike in your prayers as he is having a problem with his blood and Becky as she goes in for surgery tomorrow in Abilene to hopefully correct a problem with her back. Keep L.D. in your prayers as he continues to have problems and Jeanette as she ministers to him even though she is having multiple health problems of her own. Also, Don Helms as he struggles with his health and for God to provoke the V.A. to get his surgery scheduled and for Jeanette as she ministers to him. For Joe and Pat to have a safe trip back home. For Leslie as she struggles with a cold. For Lydia as she struggles with knee pain. For me as I try to fill in for Mike and as I recover from my injuries.

In the Lord's Day a.m. Adult Bible class, we will be beginning James chapter 4. Praying that you can join us.

Praying that our new administration will guide our great nation back to being the God-fearing people that we once were.
